TIJUANA, Mexico (WIAT/WCMH) — Investigators say they have found a suspected drug tunnel underneath the U.S./Mexico border near San Diego. Immigration and Customs found the tunnel on Thursday.

Right now, they are not releasing much more information to protect the on-going investigation.

Mexican law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation near the Tijuana International Airport, just south of the U.S. border. NBC7 San Diego reports they are investigating a business in the area, 500 meters south of the border.

This is the same street where a tunnel was found last February, officials told NBC7 San Diego. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
