Boy, 13, recovering after east Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A 13-year-old boy is recovering after being shot multiple times on the city’s east side.

Columbus police said Shermon A. Wright, 13, was standing on Cushing Drive in east Columbus around 5:18pm when an unknown suspect began firing in his direction. He was shot multiple times in the legs and was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in stable condition for surgery.

Police told NBC4 they are looking for a male suspect, but no other details on a possible suspect have been released.
