Tom Hanks yells ‘Go Tribe’ at the end of Saturday Night Live

NEW YORK (WKYC) —  As if Cleveland Indians fans aren’t already over-the-top with excitement about the World Series starting here Tuesday at Progressive Field, NBC’s Saturday Night Live host Tom Hanks took it up another notch last night.

Tom Hanks will be the guest of honor at the Greater Cleveland Film Commission’s “Behind the Camera” on Friday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. Back in the ’70s, Hanks started his professional acting career at what is now the Great Lakes Theater.

At the end of SNL, Hanks incorporated a “Go Tribe” shout-out. And that shout-out began showing up almost immediately on Twitter. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
