Man recovering after east Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man is recovering after he was shot in the pelvis Tuesday evening in east Columbus.

Columbus police said Emmanuel Childs, 21, was involved in a brief physical altercation with a suspect at about 7:23pm Tuesday at the intersection of East Livingston Avenue and South 22nd Street.

The suspect fired one shot at Childs before he fled the scene.

Childs was struck once in the pelvis. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
