Shooting reported in southeast Columbus, one injured

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Columbus police are responding to a shooting in southeast Columbus that injured at least one person.

It happened shortly before 10pm on Berkeley Road near East Deshler Avenue in southeast Columbus, near Deshler Park.

The victim, 19-year-old Earnest Hall IV, says he was approached by two unknown males who asked if his name was Earnest.

When he replied, one of the suspects began shooting at him.

Officers are still considering the possibility that the gunshot was self-inflicted.
