ATLANTA (WCMH) – A little boy from Georgia landed a modeling gig with Oshkosh B’Gosh after initially being turned down because a talent agency said they weren’t looking for a baby with special needs.
Meagan Richter Nash has been submitting photos of her son, Asher, to a modeling agency for use in campaigns for Oshkosh B’Gosh and other kids clothing campaigns.
After a recent submission, the casting agency replied and told her that they hadn’t ‘requested a special needs baby.”
Nash told WXIA she responded with, “Did they say they were not casting a baby with special needs?”
The agency replied, “No, they didn’t say anything.”
After a photo of Asher went viral, Oshkosh scheduled a meeting with Meagan.
She told WXIA that she was nervous going into the meeting, but as it turned out, she was there for good news.
“He went in there and he was Asher,” Meagan told the station. “He was waving, he was blowing kisses! The CEO held him and he didn’t want to leave.”
