One shot in north side robbery

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Police say a man is in critical condition after a robbery turned into a shooting on the city’s north side.

The shooting happened around 4am Saturday morning on the 770 block of Clinton Street. According to police, the victim was walking out of a residence on Clinton Street when the suspect robbed him and shot him in the leg. The victim was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition.

Officers say they are looking for the suspect, described as a black male, about 5’7” tall and weighing around 160 pounds. Officers say the suspect left the scene of the shooting in a black SUV.
