COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police say one person was pronounced dead after shots were fired in southeast Columbus.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 10:32pm, Monday, officers were called to the 4600 block of Refugee Road on the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Brian Malik Woodson, 42, suffering from gunshot wounds. Woodson would be pronounced dead on scene.
Witnesses told police Woodson was involved in a fight when he was shot. Neighbors told NBC4 10 to 12 shots were fired outside an apartment complex, and the victim was shot outside during a Halloween party.
Police say the suspects, who were seen running from the area, are two black males in their late teens or early 20s.
