Child’s remains found inside plastic storage tote

SEATTLE, WA (WCMH) — Investigators say the remains of a girl, about four years old were found hidden in a plastic storage tote, and they could have been there for years.

According to KIRO, in 2012 several neighbors complained about the smell coming from Tricia Kirchner Davis and Jordan Davis’ apartment. The couple lived there with several of Kirchner’s children, including a 4-year-old daughter who hasn’t been seen in years.

Documents show that when Kirchner would be asked about the little girl, she would claim a death from chicken pox or a bathtub drowning.

However, Jordan Davis’ mother and sister became suspicious when the woman would take the same cooler with her whenever the family moved.

According to information from a search warrant, of the couple’s new home, obtained by KIRO, detectives removed bags of evidence, including a tote with concrete and human remains.

No one has been charged in connection with the remains and police continue to investigate. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
