TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – John Sansone has owned farmers markets across the Tampa Bay area for years. But having someone break in wearing a tutu is a first for him.
Sansone and his sons run the market off Fletcher Avenue. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, at about 1 a.m. Monday, two men, one wearing a tutu and what may or may not be a wig, hopped a fence at the market and started eating fruit.
Deputies say they then took a box and cover the surveillance camera, but not before it captured images of the two culprits.
The owners said the men grabbed the top of a crock pot used to boil peanuts to smash a glass door. Once inside the small building, they drank a juice.
Other than the glass door, they didn’t destroy any property and didn’t take anything.
The suspects are described as a white male, thin build, wearing a TuTu and possibly wearing a wig. The other is described as a male wearing a hoodie with an image of an owl on the front.
Sansone said he would have given the food to them two if they were truly hungry and had only asked
