CENTRAL OHIO (WCMH) — The weekend is finally here! With November underway, there are still plenty of fun — and FREE — activities to do in Central Ohio this weekend. From camping and shopping to yoga and open mic night, we’ve got you covered, so get ready to get your weekend on!
If you’re ready for winter, head over to the Mt. Gilead State Park for the annual Snowflake Festival! There will be movies, games and prizes for the whole family. The Mt. Gilead VIPs will also serve the famous Country Breakfast. Plus, if you have the best-decorated camp site, you could win a prize! Donations are appreciated and all proceeds will help fund improvements for the park.
It’s never too late to start your holiday shopping, so check out local specialty shops, boutiques, gift shops and restaurants, all within walking distance in beautiful downtown Troy.
Have your eye on something that sparkles? Stop by Precision Jewelers in Grove City Friday night and start making your wish list! It will come in handy when your special someone asks what you want for the holidays.
Get yourself in the mood for Thanksgiving at downtown Delaware’s First Friday this month and help ensure others in the community have nourishing meals on the table this season. You can bring non-perishable food to help hungry neighbors, collect favorite holiday recipes from local merchants, share what you’re thankful for on the Gratitude Wall and get your photo taken in the holiday-themed photo booth!
Whether you’re a performer or more of a spectator, you won’t want to miss open mic night at Coffee Underground. You’ll enjoy good coffee, great company and live music. Performances begin at 8pm. Performers should arrive at 7pm to sign up. There will also be local vendors selling artwork and more before and after the performances.
