Two indicted for aggravated murder of two-year-old in southwest Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH)–Two men have been indicted for their roles in the shooting death of 2-year-old Amiyah Bice on Oct. 25.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said Norman Burke and Jaquon Poindexter were indicted on one count of aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, two counts of aggravated murder, and two counts of murder. Burke also faces an addition charge of having a weapon while under disability.

O’Brien says the men walked into a home and robbed the child’s parents. A shootout ensued. The child’s parents were also injured.

Both defendants face possible life sentences without the possibility of parole, according to O’Brien’s office.
