Boy shot while helping mom with groceries in NE Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A teen was shot in the shoulder while helping his mother put away groceries, according to police.

Columbus police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of East 5th Ave. just after 6pm Friday. Shots were fired from the rear alley into the home.

Police said the 15-year-old boy, who was shot once, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
