Juvenile dies in crash in Perry County; Patrol says alcohol is suspected

PERRY CO., OH (WCMH) — A juvenile died in a single-car crash in Perry County early Saturday morning, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol says alcohol may have been a factor.

The crash happened at approximately 3:25 a.m. Saturday on Reading Township Road 121 in Perry County.

The Patrol says a black 2002 Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on the road when it traveled off the left side of the road, struck a stump, and overturned. A juvenile occupant of the vehicle was ejected and later pronounced deceased by the Perry County Coroner’s Office.

The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol released information on the accident Saturday morning.
