9-year-old injured after crashing car

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 9-year-old boy in Clarksville was injured after he crashed a car.

According to the Clarksville Police Department, the crash occurred on Eva Drive just after 11:30 a.m.

The child reportedly took a car belonging to his mother’s friend. He then crashed and was ejected from the vehicle, leaving him with lacerations, broken bones, and other injuries.

He was taken to a Nashville hospital by LifeFlight. The child is now in stable condition and expected to recover.

Authorities say he has autism and has ran off before, but never to this extent.
