VIDEO: Mom and son injured after being attacked by dogs

ANAHEIM, CA (WCMH) — The little boy and his mother are both recovering after a pair of dogs attacked them, and it was all caught on video.

Security cameras show the little boy and his mother outside their California home, when the two dogs attacked the boy, knocking him to the ground.

The mother can be seen running to help the little boy but the dogs began attacking her too.

“It was just a constant battle for five to seven minutes of just terror,” Spenser Bishop, the boy’s father tells KTLA.

The mother was able to run to their front door, but was unable to find the keys. All the while, the dogs continued to bite.

“She was screaming and yelling for help. And luckily we had two neighbors, one young lady came over with a stick to try to prod them off,” Bishop says.

Neighbors finally come to her aid, and fight the dogs off, but not before the little boy suffered extensive injuries.

“He has a big laceration in his face and his leg.  He’s had to have multiple stitches.  He had plastic surgery on his face.  There’s no words to explain how you feel unless you have a child and see your child go through something like that, or your wife,” Bishop tells KTLA.

The family has hired an attorney and says they believe the dogs escaped from a neighbor’s yard. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
