DELAWARE, OH (WCMH) — A local veteran said a Delaware lawn care company wiped out his landscaping in just four seconds. The company said it was an accident and points out it has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
Greg Sens is a former Marine working as a military contractor overseas. Surveillance cameras on his home captured a man on a mower running over his bushes Tuesday afternoon. That man, the owner of a Delaware lawn care company, said he was at the wrong house and that the mower got away from him.
Sens always has eyes on his Delaware home even though he’s thousands of miles away.
“I received a notification on my iPad that there was a disturbance outside my house due to like a noise,” he said.
Monitoring his security system and cameras he couldn’t believe what he saw Tuesday afternoon.
“I’m watching this video and I’m just like in absolute disgust.”
NBC4 spoke with Joe Kaser, the owner of Kaser Property Services on the phone Tuesday. He didn’t want to go on camera, but said he was supposed to be on the street over and that it was a mistake. He said he offered to make the situation right by fixing or paying for the damage immediately, but that Sens refused.
Sens said he’s sure it was international.
“I dealt with this guy before. A year and a half ago.”
Back then when Sens was a customer with Kaser’s lawn care company he accused the business of fraudulent charges. Kaser said that’s not true. Kaser accuses Sens of not paying on time.
Police said they took a report at Sens’ house Tuesday and that an investigation is pending. Police said no charges had been filed as of Tuesday.
