Pharmacy robbers jump counter, demand pills

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Police say a pair of east Columbus pharmacy robbers got away empty-handed over the weekend.

It happened Saturday morning at the CVS at 3307 East Broad Street.

Police say one of the suspects jumped over the counter and confronted the pharmacist and demanded polls while implying he had a weapon. The pharmacist and suspect fought and both fell to the floor. The suspect then jumped back over the counter without getting anything.

The second suspect stood at the counter during the robbery.

The suspects were last seen running south from the back of the store.

Police described the suspect as a black male in his late teens or early 20s. He stood between 5’8” and 5’9” and weighed around 160 pounds. He wore a light blue hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants and dark tennis shoes.

The second suspect was described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s standing around 5’10” and weighing 160 pounds.
