Go ahead and splurge, it’s National Fast Food Day!

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Go ahead and order that Big Mac. Chow down on that Whopper. Dig into that KFC chicken bucket. It’s National Fast Food Day.

According to CNN, November 16 is celebrated across the country every November 16. People will be celebrating by going through the drive-thru, dining inside, or ordering to go.

Fast food dining was first popularized in the United States in the 1950s and standard menu items include hamburgers, French fries, fried chicken and pizza.

The United States has the largest fast food industry in the world and American fast food restaurants are located in over 100 countries.
