REYNOLDSBURG, OH (WCMH) – A Columbus City Schools teacher is accused of kicking a Reynoldsburg police officer during a domestic dispute Wednesday.
According to court documents, Reynoldsburg police responded to a home on the 2300 block of Hoover Avenue on a report of a domestic dispute.
Police said a man said that his wife, Robyn Petrikas, had been drinking and was throwing and destroying property while yelling at him.
While the officer was speaking to the man, Petrikas came down the stairs. Officers then asked her about what had taken place. Police said she immediately became aggressive in tone and had a strong odor of alcohol.
The man then went upstairs to collect some belongings to leave. He asked for officers to stay while he did so to protect him from assault, according to police.
While the officers were trying to keep the two apart, an officer reported that he was kicked in the leg by Petrikas. She was arrested and charged with felony assault.
Petrikas was arraigned Thursday morning and bond was set at $5,000.
According to Columbus City Schools, Petrikas is currently a teacher at Northtowne Elementary School.
