COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man and his fiancé were sentenced Thursday after being convicted of luring women into abusive relationships.
According to Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney Ron O’Brien, Thomas Michael Williamson, 32 and Michelle Nicole Feldman, 29 both pleaded guilty to charged related to human trafficking.
The crimes are alleged to have happened over several spans of time from April through August 2013, October 2013 through March 2015 and July 2014 through March 2015 at the couple’s home located on Whitebirch Court in Reynoldsburg.
The couple is accused of creating a false online identity to start romantic relationships with the victims, then luring into controlled situations where the couple’s sexual, financial and emotional needs could be fulfilled.
Reynoldsburg police and the Human Trafficking Task Force investigated the case.
In July, Feldman pleaded guilty to attempted trafficking in persons, extortion and theft in incidents from 2013 and 2015. She was sentenced to seven years in prison and must register as a Tier 2 sex offender.
On Monday, Williamson pleaded guilty to trafficking in persons, and two counts of sexual battery. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and must register as a Tier 3 sex offender.
The couple is due to appear in court Monday afternoon.
