Central Ohio donates more than 8,200 pounds of food at annual NBC4 drive

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Thanks to generous donations from central Ohioans, hundreds of families in the area will have a happy holiday season.

At the 2016 NBC4 Food Drive, staff collected $13,160 and 8,269 pounds of food.  Donations collected will help the Mid-Ohio Foodbank provide 60,909 meals – up from 43,758 meals collected at the drive in 2015.

Donations will stock the shelves for Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s network of more than 650 pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, senior living centers, day care and after-school programs in 20 counties in central and eastern Ohio.
