80-year-old among victims of Polaris-area credit card thieves

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Columbus Division of Police needs your help identifying two men accused of stealing credit cards from cars at a Polaris area gym.

According to Columbus Police, the two men stole the credit cards from the victims’ vehicles at the Polaris LA Fitness and used the stolen credit cards at the Polaris Best Buy, Target and CVS stores. Officers estimate the shopping spree to total around $4,000. Police say one of the victims is 80 years old. The thieves completely emptied the octogenarian’s checking account.

Officers describe the first suspect as a black male with a large build, scruffy beard and pierced ears. Surveillance photos show he was wearing a dark jogging outfit and a white baseball cap. The second suspect is described as a black male with a medium build, goatee and pierced ears. He is shown wearing a dark jogging suit and a black Chicago White Sox hat.
