America’s sweetest race takes over downtown

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Hot Chocolate 15K/5K is taking over  downtown Columbus on Sunday.

The one-of-a-kind race benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ronald McDonald House helps families and children facing serious medical crises by providing a “home away from home.”

The race will begin at McFerson Commons at 7:30am. Several area roads will be closed to accommodate the runners, including portions of:

  • Nationwide Boulevard
  • Long Street
  • Spring Street
  • West Street
  • Marconi Boulevard
  • 2nd Street
  • Main Street
  • High Street
  • Russell Avenue
  • Lane Avenue
  • Olentangy River Road
  • 5th Avenue
  • Neil Avenue
  • Poplar Avenue
  • Dennison Avenue
  • Buttles Avenue
  • Park Avenue/Front Street
