Computer scientists urge Hillary Clinton to challenge election results

WASHINGTON (WCMH) — Several computer scientists are urging Hillary Clinton’s campaign to ask for a recount in three key states.

A source familiar with the request tells CNN the scientists are urging Clinton’s camp to ask for recounts in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. They say it’s strange that Clinton received seven-percent fewer votes in counties that use electronic voting machines.

The scientists say those electronic voting machines could have been manipulated or hacked. Even though they don’t have any direct evidence of any hacking, they believe the pattern is significant enough to require an independent review.

If the results were flipped in those states, it would give Clinton 278 electoral votes, 18 more than Trump.

The scientists presented their findings to Clinton’s top aides last Thursday, who have not commented yet. The deadline to request a recount in Wisconsin is Friday. The deadline in Pennsylvania is Nov. 28 and Nov. 30 in Michigan.

Clinton conceded the race to Donald Trump on November 9, urging her supporters that “We owe [Pres-elect Trump] an open mind and a chance to lead.”
