COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Most people camp out to be closer to nature. Wednesday night and into Thursday morning we found people camped out all across Central Ohio to get deals!
At the Polaris Cabela’s we found Stetson Lewis and a friend camped out in the front of the store. Lewis said they were, “glamping.”
“Mattresses, a heater, a table a Keurig and were living it up a little bit this year trying to be comfy,” said Lewis.
For the past three years Lewis and a friend have lined up at the store. This year they put up their tent Wednesday morning.
“The only thing that could make it more fun is if we had a pond over here and we were fishing,” he said.
We also found people in a tent outside the Polaris Best Buy store. And, Kim Taylor trying to stay warm in a lawnchair outside the Hilliard Best Buy.
“Trying to get a TV for $199!” said Taylor.
Taylor said there’s not a room in his house now that doesn’t have a TV.
“Every year I come and get a new one, that’s correct,” he said.
For Taylor and Lewis Black Friday is about more than just shopping.
“I do it with my wife and my daughters. It is a tradition. We hang out here for hours and hours to be the first one in line,” said Taylor.
The deals, cheap. The memories, priceless.
