New video bug is causing iPhones to freeze, reset

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCBD) — A video making its way across the internet is causing iPhone users to reset their phones.

In the beginning, the five-second video titled This Video Will CRASH ANY iPhone! plays fine. You’re also able to exit the video and open other apps once it’s finished.

While working in the background, users report the video starts to loop, and within a matter of minutes, the device slows down considerably before ultimately freezing, requiring a reset.

The video started gaining traction Reddit and has gone viral with a YouTube video showing off the glitch garnering more than 452,000 views in one day.

Users report no data is lost, only the inconvenience of having to reset your phone.

Alex Aguilar13 said “Wow I can’t believe this is a trending video.” R1M11 said “My brother attacked me after I did it 😂.” One of the best ones came from Olivex who said “Im gonna send this to my ex.”
