Man shot and killed by suspect trying to stop domestic assault in Walmart parking lot

SAN ANTONIO, TX (WCMH) — Police say the man was trying to help a woman during a domestic assault when the suspect pulled a gun and opened fire.

KABB is reporting the incident happened during Black Friday shopping at a Walmart in San Antonio.

Police said the man saw the male suspect assaulting a woman in the parking lot and told the suspect “Get your hands off her.”

According to officers, the suspect then pulled a gun and fired several shots, hitting the man in the neck and a random female bystander.

The man died at the scene. The female bystander was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The woman who was being assaulted was shot by shrapnel and was also hospitalized.
