Last known living person born in the 19th century to celebrate her 117th birthday

VERCELLI, Italy (WCMH) — Emma Morano was born November 29, 1899, and will be celebrating her 117th birthday tomorrow.

According to Guinness World Records, Morano is believed to be the last person still alive that was born in the 1800s.

“I eat two eggs a day, and that’s it. And cookies. But I do not eat much because I have no teeth,” she told AFP news agency.

According to, Morano became the oldest person in the world earlier in the year, when Susannah Mushatt Jones, of New York died May, 12, 2016 at the age of 116 years, 6 months and 6 days.
