Ohio Troopers seize 200 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop

PREBLE COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers seized closed to $1 million worth of marijuana during a traffic stop in Preble County.

According to the OSHP, at about 2:56pm, November 22, troopers stopped a Ford F-250 pick-up truck, with Nevada licenses plates, for impeding traffic on I-70 in Preble County.

Troopers said they observed criminal indicators, and a drug-sniffing dog alerted to the vehicle. A search would later reveal the drugs, according to troopers.

The driver, Nancy Jean Thompson, 62, of Groveland, California, was charged with possession of drugs, a second-degree felony

If convicted, she could face up to 8 years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.
