JACKSONVILLE, FL (WCMH) – Rescuers in Florida dug a city street to try and rescue a manatee stuck in a storm drain.

First Coast News reports the manatee was stuck in the storm drain near Davinci Avenue and Della Robbia Way in Jacksonville. The city says it was stuck in a 36-inch pipe.

The manatee was found by a pavement crew that was working in the area.

The manatee was removed from the drain around 4pm. Officials said the manatee would be taken to Sea World in Orlando for recovery.
