Netflix launches offline mode allowing you to download your movies and shows

LOS GATOS, CA (WCMH) — You’ll soon be able to download your Netflix favorites to watch anywhere.

The streaming service announced the new feature, Wednesday, on its Twitter account.

“Airplane mode. Road trip mode. Stuck-in-the-subway-for-20-minutes mode. Your favorite stories are now available for download any time,” the tweet read.

According to Netflix, the app update for iOS and Android phones should appear Wednesday.

In May, the company announced that it’ll be the exclusive home to some of the latest Disney films.
