CINCINNATI, OH (WCMH) – A man accused of assaulting a Cincinnati police officer made his first appearance in court Friday morning.
Steven Tyler Manning, 30, is charged with burglary, assault and resisting arrest, WLWT reports.
Officer Tyler Lane suffered a three to five-inch laceration on his forehead after fighting with Manning. The wound required 12 stitches.
Manning is also accused of kicking down an apartment door in Carthage. He then allegedly punched a woman and bit a man who came to help her.
The struggle happened as Officer Lane attempted to take Manning into custody. During the struggle, the two smashed through a window.
Manning previously spent four years in prison for a felonious assault conviction.
Manning was ordered held on $350,000 bond.
