Two bank robberies in two days lead to Grandview Heights schools lockdown

GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS, OH (WCMH) — For the second day in a row, a Grandview Heights bank was robbed and schools were placed on lockdown.

On a post to the Grandview Heights Facebook page, school superintendent Andy Culp stated that a bank in the 1700 block of West Fifth Avenue was robbed at about 12:10pm. Schools were locked down while police investigated.

On Thursday, the Chase bank in the 1500 block of West Fifth Avenue was also robbed, leading to the lockdown of Grandview schools.

According to that post, the suspect was described as a black male, wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt.
