One person dead after crash in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Columbus police say one person has died after an early morning crash at the intersection of N. Cassady Avenue and Baylor Avenue.

The wreck happened shortly before 3:00am just north of E. Hudson Street.

Columbus Police say a pole and multiple vehicles were involved in the accident, including one semi.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was transported to Grant. They are in critical condition.

The intersection of Baylor Avenue and N. Cassady Avenue is currently closed.

According to Columbus City Schools students whose normal pick up location of Cassady and Cassady Village Trail will be picked up at Hudson and Cassady because of the deadly crash.
