CEDAR PARK, TX (KXAN) — A Texas mom is facing charges for endangering a child after she passed out in the stairs of a movie theater.

Kaylan Walker, 36, is accused of drinking so much that she passed out and left four children unattended, according to the affidavit. Three of the children were Walker’s kids ranging from 2 to 4 years old; the fourth child belonged to a neighbor.

Movie theater staff told police a 4-year-old child informed them that her mom was asleep in the movie theater. A worker went into the theater and found Walker sleeping on the stairs.

The children were told to stay with their mother until she woke up. Police were called and the 4-year-old told officers she was “worried about her [mother] driving home.”

When police asked if she fell asleep, Walker said she just “blinked” for a long time. An alcohol impairment test was administered and officers concluded that Walker was so drunk she could not take care of the children.

Walker told police she planned to drive home after the movie, but could not remember the movie she went to see.

She was arrested and is being held at the Williamson County on a $20,000 bond.
