LOS ANGELES (WCMH) — A popular accessory on the red carpet at the 89th Academy Awards this year is a blue ribbon worn on the lapel.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ruth Negga, Karlie Kloss, director Barry Jenkins, and others sported the ribbon, which is in support of the American Civil Liberties Union’s new “Stand With ACLU” initiative.

“I’m wearing an ACLU ribbon because they’re fighting incredible fights right now for American ideals,” Miranda said.
