Several homes evacuated after north Columbus gas leak

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A portion of a north Columbus neighborhood was evacuated Monday after a construction crew ruptured a natural gas line.

It happened along Delegate Drive, near the York Golf Club.

According to firefighters, residents of several homes were forced to evacuate.

The leak was contained, but Columbia Gas is still working at the scene. As of 5:50pm, the road is open and everyone is allowed back in their homes.
