Person in stable condition after west Columbus stabbing

COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Columbus Police are investigating after a person was stabbed during an apparent robbery early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the report of a stabbing just after 2:00 am.

Officials believe it happened near the homeless camp just east of the intersection of N Souder Avenue and River Street.

Police say one person was transported to Mount Carmel West in critical condition. The victim has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The suspect is described as a white male with a blue muscle shirt and tear drop tattoos.
