One killed in southeast Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person is dead after a shooting that happened on the southeast side of Columbus.

The shooting happened around 3:24pm on the 1600 block of Smith Road.

According to police, 31-year-old James M. Lundy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said Lundy and 22-year-old Zhontel M. Angel were fighting over a woman who has a child in common with Angel.

During the fight, police said Angel went inside his home, got a gun and fired several shots at Lundy.

Angel was arrested and charged with murder.
