Caught on cam: Mystery hero saves blind man from oncoming train

AURORA, CO (KUSA) A blind man in Colorado is looking for the man who saved his life by pulling him out of the path of an oncoming train.

Mike Wyatt of Aurora was approaching the tracks of the light rail at Peoria Station Thursday using his cane to guide him, when a young man ran up behind him, grabbed his arms and moved him safely to the sidewalk.

Security footage from the station shows about five seconds passing between the time Wyatt is pulled back and when the train arrives.

Wyatt has come to the station with a sign looking for the young man who saved his life, and he plans to come back one more time in hopes of finding him.

“You live and you die,” Wyatt said. “It’s what you do in between, and this young man did a great thing for me and that’s what I want to say to him, ‘thank you.'”

Wyatt says the man has afforded him a chance to watch his seven grandchildren grow up. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
