Marion County crash injures several people, temporarily closes US 23

MARION, OH (WCMH) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol continue an investigation in to a crash that put several people in the hospital and temporarily closed US 23 in Marion County Sunday night.

The crash occurred on US 23 just north of the southbound rest area near milepost 7.

Troopers say a 2017 Dodge Caravan struck a 2005 Chevrolet Express van after the Chevrolet allegedly attempted to utilize a median crossover after missing their exit.

The driver of the Dodge was airlifted to OSU Medical Center, and the occupants of the Chevrolet were transported to Marion General Hospital.

No status on condition of neither the driver of the Dodge nor the passengers of the Chevrolet is available at this time.
