COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two families were out of a home following a Friday morning fire, NBC 4 reported.
While fighting the fire, one firefighter was taken to the hospital for a twisted ankle.
While everyone was able to get out of the duplex at 1132 Wilson Ave. safely, some family members had a difficult time at it.
"Some of them had to escape out of a second-story window onto the porch-roof and cross to the adjoining side, to the other half of the double," Battalion Chief Kent Serle said.
Fire investigators were still looking into the cause of the blaze.
