COLUMBUS, Ohio -- As the calls for Attorney General Marc Dann's resignation intensify, the two women whose complaints started the sexual harassment investigation are sharing their thoughts with Target 4's Patrick Preston.

Vanessa Stout and Cindy Stankoski accused their boss, Anthony Gutierrez of sexual harassment and sparked an investigation that led to the attorney general's admission of an affair.

Gutierrez was fired last week, along with former Director of Communications Leo Jennings.

When they were hired, Stankoski and Stout thought they had landed a great job, with the prestige of being able to say they work for the attorney general.

Now, they say they are walking on eggshells now with Dann still presiding over the attorney general's office.

"When you see the top man acting the way he acted, having relationships with his staff, inviting people to his homes for drinks and, you know, having a bachelor pad, when people under him see that he acts like that, then they're going to think it's OK too," Stankoski said.

The women said they don't believe he's been honest and they don't believe he's taken full responsibility for the harassment that they endured.

"He wasn't aware of anything that was going on, to me that had to have been a lie. He had to have known," Stankoski said.

Stankoski and Stout said they don't want to be the ones to call for Dann's resignation, but they're not defending him either.

"Marc Dann knew the condition I was in and I'm sure he knew the intentions (Anthony Gutierrez) had," Stankoski said.

"While (sic) two people losing their jobs and two others resigning, it's like, he's part of all of it," Stout said.

"He slapped himself on the wrist and said, 'I've done a good job. I'm going to roll up my sleeves and keep on working.' But it's not my call to say whether he should go or not. He knows deep in his heart what he should do," Stankoski said.

Stankoski said Dann helped convince her to come back to the Dublin townhome he shared with then-Director of General Services Gutierrez and Jennings.

The townhome was the location where Stankoski said a crime occurred when Gutierrez allegedly unbuttoned her pants while she slept.

Both women want an apology.

"It doesn't make sense how he can do the reprimands and determine whether they need to be fired, but he can be the boss of himself," Stout said. "He just thinks that everybody should be happy with him just going forward and giving the truth about his relationship with her and I think that's completely wrong."

Both women said Dann is a role model -- though not always in a positive way. Both said they have felt the ire of coworkers after complaining of sexual harassment.

"There's a lot of people out there that say, 'She didn't have to go.' What people don't understand is the pressure and the power that we dealt with," Stankoski said.

The attorneys for Stankoski and Stout said they plan to approach the attorney general's office soon to discuss a financial settlement.

If they cannot agree to a deal, the attorneys said their next option will be a civil lawsuit.
